Our Services

Teeth Cleaning
Teeth cleaning removes plaque, tartar and bacteria from the teeth, and improves overall health of the teeth. Normally, a dental hygienist will clean and polish the teeth. This teeth cleaning procedure help children to fight tooth decay, bad breath and gum diseases.

Sealants
Sealants can be considered as a good preventive care treatment option to fight tooth decay in children. Sealants are applied on molars to prevent the growth of bacteria, which leads to the tooth decay.

White Fillings
It’s a common restorative procedure to strengthen the tooth after the decay is removed. White fillings are commonly used these days over conventional silver fillings, as they match the teeth color and also offer a good durability and strength.

Crowns
We suggest crowns to the patients to correct the deformed tooth, after the removal of a large decay, or after pulpotomy treatment. In general, these crowns are made up of stainless steel and appear silver in color. However, for the front teeth, the white colored crowns can be used.

Baby Root Canal Treatment
When the nerve of the tooth gets infected, it’s advised to go through a root canal treatment to save it. In this treatment, the infected pulp is removed, and the gap is filled with a solid material to strengthen the tooth. In pediatric dentistry, the two procedures, pulpotomy and pulpectomy treat nerve infections in primary teeth.

Simple Extraction

In some cases, tooth extraction is inevitable. Severe tooth decay, dental fracture or some of the gum diseases will leave no option for the dentist except to go for the extraction. A simple tooth extraction is done by pulling off the tooth with surgical instruments by numbing the area around the defective tooth.

Space Maintainers
In case of a premature loss of tooth, or after the extraction of a defective tooth, a band loop space maintainer has to be used to ensure proper space for the new tooth to erupt. Space maintainers will not only help the new tooth to erupt properly, but also help avoid the need for extensive orthodontics in the future.

Mouth Guards and Night Guards
Mouth guards protect kids’ teeth from dental injuries while they are playing. A dental injury can result in tooth loss, or can lead to a serious dental condition. It’s important parents should encourage their children to have mouth guards on while playing. Dr. Lewis Rattner has run many mouth guard awareness campaigns throughout his practice.

We suggest night guards for the children who suffer from bruxism. Bruxism is an oral disorder where the patients unknowingly grind their teeth during nights, which can chip teeth, and cause pain in jaws.

At Rattner Dental, we offer custom mouth guards and night guards to our patients. A custom lab created moth guard has several advantages such as comfort, clearer speech, and comfortable breathing during nights.

We also offer full mouth rehabilitation under general anesthesia for those who are really young to uncooperative or phobic to dental treatment.
